Working at Height

The most common kinds of fatal accidents to workers continue as falls from a height, struck by moving vehicle and struck by moving object, between them accounting for around 70% of fatal injuries to workers in 2023/24.

I conducted a Working at Height and Manual Handling course for the #liftindustry at Amalgamated Lifts Ltd. My Working at Height course covers the essentials to keep your team safe and confident when working off the ground. Key topics include:

  • Understanding the Working at Height Regulations 2005

  • Employer and employee responsibilities

  • Risk assessments and safe systems of work

  • Hierarchy of control – avoid, prevent, minimise

  • Selection of appropriate equipment

  • Inspection of equipment

  • Correct use of ladders and steps including storage

  • Selection, inspection and use of fall restraint harnesses & work positioning

Before I run any course, I always ask for things like your risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks or any in-house procedures you use. That way, I can shape the training around how your team actually works — so it's not just ticking boxes, it's making sense in the real world.

Whether you're looking for First Aid, Health & Safety, Mental Health Awareness, Fire Safety, or Manual Handling, I am dedicated to providing training solutions that ensure your team is fully equipped to handle challenges confidently and competently.
